Manheim offers a suite of powerful APIs to streamline the process of registering, listing, and selling your vehicle inventory through Manheim auctions.

This guide describes which APIs you can use as a seller, what each API does, and how each API relates to the selling process.

Before You Begin

Before working with Manheim's suite of APIs, you should request API access. Once you have been provided with credentials, you can use those credentials to obtain a temporary token to authenticate each subsequent API call.

The following illustration shows the steps you can take to sell a vehicle at one of Manheim's physical auction locations.

How to Use APIs in the Selling Process

The following list identifies the Manheim APIs you can use to automate some of the steps in the auction process.

1	Units	Add each of your vehicles as a "unit" in Manheim's inventory system, and then view and update your inventory. Establishing units early allows you to manage your inventory with Manheim APIs regardless of whether the units are at auction, at a dealer lot, or in transition.
1, 4	Subscriptions API	Subscribe to API events to receive notifications during the selling process, such as when a unit is created or updated.
3	Subscriptions API	Subscribe to be notified when a unit is checked in at the auction, or when a consignment is created.
4	Consignments	Get a list of the units you have registered in inventory at the auction.
9	Valuations	Get the current market prices for similar vehicles.
9	Offerings	Set a floor price for a listing, also known as an "offering".
9	Offerings	Create a listing by specifying information such as the unit, floor price, and auction / sale location.
9	Offerings	Assign a listing to a lane and run.
13	Offerings	View the results of your listings, to include sale price.
13	Subscriptions API	Subscribe to be notified when a vehicle is sold, or when an offering status is changed.
