API Access and Environments

Connecting with Manheim APIs

Manheim's core third-party integration is a suite of Hypermedia APIs that provide programmatic access to Manheim's extensive vehicle remarketing services. To protect sensitive customer data, Manheim maintains different API environments and only grants API access after a careful review and evaluation.

API Environments

Manheim maintains multiple API environments:

• a QA environment at integration1.api.manheim.com
• a pre-production environment at uat.api.manheim.com
• a production environment at api.manheim.com

Access may be granted to each environment independently based on the API consumer's needs. For more information about these environments, see the Hypermedia APIs article.

Requesting API Access

Please reach out to your Cox Automotive / Manheim account representative to request API access. If you do not have a representative, contact us at CAI - External Data Requests <DataSyndication@coxautoinc.com>.

If possible, let us know which API's you intend to access, and describe how your company intends to consume our API services. For example, if you are not a Manheim customer, are you a third-party acting on behalf of a Manheim customer?

If Manheim approves your request for API access, we will create a new account for you and provide credentials for authentication. You can then use these credentials as described in detail on our page for Authentication.

Each time you develop a new application that will access our API's, please contact us to register your new application and obtain additional credentials.
